Boxer shorts (commonly known as Boxers) are a kind of popular shorts, generally worn by men. They come with an elastic waistband, back panels, and buttoned front closure, and are known for their loose fit to provide comfortable leg movement and an utmost airy feeling.

Boxers arrived from the loose, full-cut shorts, worn by professional boxers while fighting into the ring. They became popular after they came into the hands of the US infantrymen for summer wear, during World War I. In both world wars, soldiers used their boxer shorts during peacetime, which played a significant role in getting boxers for men popular.

Its usage by professional boxers and the military made boxer shorts a symbol of manliness, which makes it a hit among men. Although the market has also witnessed ladies boxers recently, this has not become a part of the trend yet. The use of ladies boxers is still confined mainly within city life.
